The photo on the left shows the condition of the artwork in the altar room of St. Nicholas as it is today (this photo was taken in July 2010). After more than 130 years the paint has faded in many areas and had almost completely disappeared in others. The funds collected will go towards the restoration effort which was quoted at a cost of approximately 5000 Euro.

In the event that the generosity of our community members exceeds the price of this restoration effort, any left over funds will be put towards some much needed maintenance work on the village's main school building.
